You drive through it each time you visit Beamish, but, did you know that our red steam hammer at the entrance is called Tiny Tim? And that the not-so-tiny steam hammer was originally from Darlington Forge?
The black and white photo shows the steam hammer when it was at Messrs Steel, Peech & Tozer, Rotherham, where it went after it ceased working at the forge... Something to impress family and friends with on your next visit!
