I chose to lead a healthy active lifestyle because after having my two children and becoming a single parent I needed sheer strength to handle everything life throws at me. I feel for mental health fitness has helped me to let out my stress, to release my anger after negative experiences and to grow as a woman to feel more in control of my life and build strength from within. It’s altered my fight or flight response too as now I’m far more confident, sure of myself and have a backbone to stand up for what I know is right rather than being walked over.
