Here’s a flashback. I grew up without running water, so I didn’t know what a shower was until I was 15 and joined the gym. This basin and a washcloth was how we bathed. My brother and I would schlep the water from the well to the house, and then we would all clean ourselves - first my mother, then my father, then my brother, then me. The water was a little dirty by the time it was our turn but my brother and I weren’t going to schlep back to the well. Tell me about the memories from your childhood that remind you how far you’ve come. #fbf

From running away from home, sleeping in abandoned cars and derelict buildings, eating from thrown away scraps in the McDonalds bins, after growing up in a hostile alcohol fuelled family home without any real structure, guidance or love, often without electricity, heat, food only to then as an adult to rebuild myself to be a good father, husband and provider and lose it all in a nasty divorce which plunged me into a deeper desperate darkness of nothingness, homelessness, once again sleeping from couch to couch, surviving on handouts and my health declining, I used my past experiences to recreate a better, stronger me and push past the fears I had as a child of being left alone and afraid to be close to anyone else, to now rebuilding not only my confidence in others but to help others do the same and create an empire of likeminded people, entrepreneurs and leaders that inspire others to pick up and go with not what was lost but the power that was gained in taking back control of one self. My past helped me to refine the man I am today. Thank you mom and dad for showing me everything I should never do and preparing me with your failings and constant reminders of who I wasnt so I could discover myself for who I am and have become today.

Not forgetting our origins make us more humble; to thank our origins makes us people of strong values and bases ... humility, simplicity and strength: basic recipe to leave a mark on this world ... even if you don't know it yet, children step on those tracks, children replicate them. that is true happiness🍃 thanks

Having to trot outside to my grandma's privvy for a pee in the night was my worst nightmare. There was always massive spiders in there and it was always freezing even in the summer!!

We had running water, but unfortunately there was little food back then in the south Florida trailer parks. Bathing you can do with out, not having food is the worst

There was no clean water when my mom was pregnant with me, so the doctor told her to drink bottled Guinness. For me, it truly is Mother’s milk! 🍺
