Yesterday I challenged myself to not say anything negative for the whole day. Normally I’d consider myself to be a pretty happy positive person but it wasn’t until I kept tabs that I was honestly shocked by how often my mind heads down a negative destructive route. I always thought that practicing positivity was super fake. That it was a way to avoid problems and emotions. But even after just one day I am feeling a huge shift in my attitude. Just the small act of phrasing a simple sentence like “I suck at that” to “there is room for improvement” turns helpless in to hopeful. I am beginning to fully understand why my grandma’s life motto was “happiness is a choice” I was skeptical at first too but just try it for a day... what could it hurt?? Dm me how it goes!!
