Life goal achieved, I finally made it to the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa!
This gorgeous museum is a contemporary art museum located in Cape Town. It is the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world. The museum building was constructed from the conversion of the 187 ft tall Grain Silo’s. It’s pretty amazing seeing art from the African perspective that isn’t what I’m use to seeing in that states that depicts the vast continent. The highlights of the museum were the Five Bhobh exhibition of contemporary paintings from Zimbabwe & this lightning bird sculpture by Nicholas Hlobo that sits in the grand atrium of the museum.
