Valentine’s Day Pancakes

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsps. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
4 tbsps. melted butter
1 3/4 cup butter milk or milk
Oil spray
Heart shaped cookie cutters

INSTRUCTIONS:

In a bowl, mix all the wet ingredients together, as well as the sugar.
Pour in the dry ingredients and whisk to obtain a fluffy texture.
Heat a non-stick pan on medium heat. Spray the cookie cutters with the oil spray and place on the pan.
Pour the pancake mixture into the cookie cutter. Do not over fill. Just enough to cover the base. The pancakes will rise.
Once the sides of the cookie cutters start to dry up, remove the cookie cutters slowly. Turn the pancakes over to cook on the other side.
If the heart shape messes up after you flip it, don’t worry. Just use the edge of a spatula and reshape it.
Remove and serve with fruits and maple/pancake syrup.
Sugar dusting them is optional.
