Jennifer not only represents the community of Kuujjuaq, but as chairperson of the Kativik Regional Government, she represents more than 14 thousand Inuit across the Nunavik region. “It’s a challenging world, trying to live with the modern way and the Inuit way,” she says. As a community leader, she is proud of her heritage and strives to preserve it, including the skill of sewing. She learned, evolved and crafted her own style of creating clothing at a young age.
