The Tarongasaurs might have gone extinct from the Zoo over the weekend, but did you know we had another dinosaur in-grounds the whole time?
The prehistoric relatives of modern crocodiles evolved as many as 230 million years ago at the beginning of the age of the dinosaurs.
Today, Saltwater Crocodiles are the world's largest living reptile species – the average male can grow up to 5m in length and 500kg in weight. Their tails are a giant powerful muscle, but their most famous feature is probably their massive jaw that can exert enormous pressure as they bite!
