The internet can be an amazing and supportive place, but I'm sure we also all see a lot of hatred and negativity knocking around. ?
We are all on our own journeys, and no one is happy and upbeat 100% of the time. One nasty comment can often have a huge impact on our day, mental health, or self esteem.
We are all entitled to our opinions and we can't like everyone, but we are in charge of the energy we put out. I'm a strong believer that if you have nothing nice to say, it's better to be silent. If situations, people, or gossip are making you feel a certain type of way, you have the option to unfollow them and focus on the people who make you feel happy. ❤️
I feel particularly strongly about this at the moment, because whilst this industry has forced me to grow a thicker skin, I always feel a bit more vulnerable during winter - grey sky and cold weather makes me feel a type of way. ?❄️
In the last few weeks I've seen so many mean comments dotted around, especially on the Love Island girls' pages. I know the format of their show means people have so many opinions about their relationships, but please remember they are real girls already dealing with heartbreak and the new pressures of fame and media scrutiny. We don't know the whole story, and they deserve love and hugs. ❤️
Be happy and spread kindness. Energy is contagious and I'd rather make someone smile than frown. ❤️? #goodvibesonly
