Throwback.
Pausing to try and remember how it felt to be the gymnast in these photos.

The thing that made me cry the most in training back then was probably me. The negative voice in my head telling me that I couldn’t do it or I wasn’t good enough. Somewhere along the way, I learnt to believe in myself. I don’t remember when this happened, but it was long after these photos were taken.

As time passes, it’s easy to forget so many things that happened in my gymnast life. Sometimes I have to stop and really think about what I’m doing now to make sure I’m going in the direction that I believe is right. How can I connect better with the gymnasts that I coach? How can I help them on their pathway to self belief and achieving their best?
