Meet Bekki Offenheiser. One of my close friends and this week’s guest on Katie’s Crib. Bekki is married to Dave-O who’s one of Adam’s besties from university of Maryland. Adam and Dave lived together when I started dating Adam back in 2006 and Bekki started dating Dave shortly after. They lived in Venice and they’re apartment had a washer and dryer in it. Which was IMPRESSIVE and sexy. They also had corn dogs in the freezer and two parking spots. Again - impressive. Dave moved out so I could move into that same apartment with Adam (huge score - now the washer and dryer was mine) and Dave eventually moved in with Bekki. We got married a few months apart in the same summer and our sons are now 6 weeks apart. They hang every day and they’re son Miles is Albee’s bestie. This is all to give you some background about how lucky Adam and I have been to travel the past 13 years along side Bekki and Dave who we love so much.
I knew I wanted to do an episode on IVF and I knew that Bekki - if she was down to share her experience - would be the most incredible guest. And thank god she said yes. I am so proud of this episode and if you know anyone struggling to get pregnant please share it with them. Bekki is a warrior and a bad ass and her story will help a lot of people. Thank you Bekki for being brave and for being our friend. And here’s to the next generation of friendship. Please god let Miles and Albee have washer/dryers in their apartment by their mid twenties because we will not be moms who still do their sons laundry. @katiescrib #katiescrib
