Pastel hues of sunrise in the sky.  An exquisitely peaceful morning on the summit of Africa’s highest peak. Soon after making this image my guide informed me that he anticipated this glacier having around 10 years left before it was gone. This was 2 years ago. I can only wonder if this was an accurate timeline but it is happening. And regardless it is a tragic reality of the #anthropocene. I am grateful to have seen it with my own eyes and to have made this picture of a very special and beautiful place on this earth. #climatechange #glacier #africa #tanzania #kili #kilimanjaro
