Found and old flier I made for the self-produced Experimental Music Showcase back when I was a student at USC. This was when there was no social media (Facebook was the following year or so), and I think I'd just gotten my first computer ever, and junky little cell phone. But I remember it being a joyful little event and you know what? The community and cameraderie I felt stays with me to this day. I don't have any photos or videos of the event, I made no money, but I didn't care because I was busy curating delicious little pieces of art and music made by my friends and me. A highlight was reading excerpts from a mining accident logbook with 7 other performers in a calculated, analog delay effect using toy microphones. #experimentalmusic #musicproducer #flyer #analog #whatsahashtag
