Photo by @jtkerby | Plastic finds its way to every corner of the planet. This juvenile gelada monkey, in a centuries-old protected area in Ethiopia, interacts with a plastic bag discarded along the roadside. The decision to use a plastic bag is made in a moment, but its legacy will last for generations. This is not an issue unique to Ethiopia, or any single country, for that matter. It is a global problem, one exacerbated by increased consumption and poor planning. Solutions begin with decisions to avoid needless uses and consider alternatives–and to expect more from legislators in a position to strike at the core of this problem. We do not need to live in a world with scenes like this one. #IChoosePlanet #YouCanToo #PlasticPledge Shot on assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック with additional grant support from @InsideNatGeo. #Wildlife #Roads #Grasslands
