I’d rather go naked than wear fur. This year, please leave these beautiful creatures in the wild and off of your jackets. Thank you @marcel_van_luit for transforming my photo, you are so talented! I needed @marcel_van_luit help in creating a shot that gave me an opportunity to talk on a subject that is very dear to my heart. That is, not only being vegan in what I ingest, but also in what I wear and the products I use. This means I no longer buy products with wool, leather, down blankets or jackets, fur, etc. And guess what, I’m still warm and super fashionable ???! It took me a while to see (30 years give or take) that just because certain practices have been normalized doesn’t mean they are ethical. Two years ago topics like this weren’t even a blip on my radar. I grew up on a farm, and we slaughtered our own food for goodness sake! So it’s okay to question the norm (I encourage it), and it’s okay to change, because throughout human existence we haven’t always gotten things right...just open a history book. We’ve done some pretty f*cked up shit ya’ll, but we are slowly evolving and getting better. I personally want to be on the right side of history ❤️ And for this generation that means changing the way we consume by striving for a vegan lifestyle. By doing that we help save our struggling planet, combat disease, and end needless suffering and enslavement of innocent animals. New Years resolutions are just around the corner, just sayin ?
