Ending the year with some exciting news ? @the.wing has raised $75 million in funding from a community of incredible women who are leaders in their fields of tech, Hollywood, sports and policy. A recent study showed it will take women 213 years to catch up with men professionally - 2018 was a leap year, but we need so many more leap years to close the gap. So excited to bring the incredible @jesskah of @sequoiacapital, kara nortman of @upfrontvc on as part of our team, as well as the incredible @ケリー・ワシントン @valeriebjarrett, @timesupnow Legal Defense Fund co-founders Robbie Kaplan & @hilarybrosen as well members of the US Women’s Soccer team @ussoccer_wnt who bravely fought for pay equality with their male counterparts. and couldn’t be prouder to have the incredible community builders at @Airbnb led by @bchesky investing as well. feeling insanely thankful and proud of my team, grateful to each and every member of @the.wing and thankful to have such an amazing partner in @lololevine. can’t believe this started just two years ago in a little loft on 20th street we had to beg the landlord to let us rent. life is crazy, women are rad, can’t believe i get to do this as my job. #nothingisheavytothosewhohavewings ????????
