Edmund de Waal recently spoke with composer Simon Fisher Turner about their collaboration on the architectural intervention “–one way or other–,” on view through January 6 at the Schindler House in West Hollywood, California. The installation pairs de Waal’s vitrines and porcelain pots with an audio piece by Turner that incorporates sounds recorded as the two visited the Vienna neighborhood where de Waal’s grandparents once lived.
