Helen Frankenthaler's "Star Gazing" (1989) is included in "Peindre la nuit" at Centre Pompidou-Metz, France! The exhibition will remain on view through April 15, 2019.

"Peindre la nuit" explores the night in modern and contemporary painting, music, literature, photography, and video. With a focus on the perception of night rather than its iconography, the exhibition intends to be a nocturnal experience. Work by Francis Bacon, Roy Lichtenstein, Man Ray, Pablo Picasso, and Ed Ruscha is also included.
