Congratulations to our silat athletes on winning seven golds, six silvers and seven bronzes at the 18th World Pencak Silat Championship! It is the silat team’s best performance yet at the competition involving more than 300 competitors from over 40 countries.

I met some of them earlier this year at the official opening of Heartbeat@Bedok. I am proud to see their hard work has paid off. They have come this far because of their family, teammates, coaches, and organisations that support them.
