Ok so I think some of us will guiltily admit that during that #crazymommoment, sometimes your smartphone/tablet is your best helper to "watch over" your kids while you're off doing other important things. When Junya and Sakura were younger, admittedly I did that quite a lot just to buy myself some time. But aren't we all also worried about the content they are watching by themselves? I remember Junya was super into the "wheels on the bus" song when he was 1, so I would sometimes let him watch different variety of videos the song on Youtube. From one it jumped to another, and next up it was a cartoon of the same nursery tune, featuring Spiderman recklessly driving a bus and deliberately crash into other vehicles, before jumping off and start firing random gunshots at the street!!!! ??I was so mortified and immediately turned off the screen. Imagine the bad influence and trauma it could have caused if he was watching it daily without me knowing! Parental control is a must when it comes to smartphone/tablet usage but sometimes it is still out of our control.I'm glad that Astro On Demand has tons of specially curated kids shows that's safe and educational, so we no longer have to worry about them watching something inappropriate.
