Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes is a big advocate for basic income.
In fact, Hughes recently suggested that the federal government could give U.S. workers a stipend of $500 per month by repealing the tax cuts passed last year. He argued that less than a third of Americans have reaped the benefits of President Trump’s tax cuts. "Everybody else, they're making the same amount that they made in 1978," Hughes said.
Hughes, a Harvard dorm-mate of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, called his success at the social network a “lucky break,” adding that it would be difficult for most Americans to make the money he made in 3 years. More details, at the link in bio.
