"Materially speaking, painting is nothing but a bridge set up between the mind of the artist and that of the beholder.” These words were written by French painter Eugène Delacroix, long considered one of the greatest creative figures of the 19th century. This self-portrait is among the more than 150 paintings, drawings, prints, and manuscripts on view in “Delacroix” through January 6. The exhibition marks the first comprehensive retrospective devoted to the artist ever held in North America. #EugeneDelacroix #ExpoDelacroix
