Although it’s somewhat rare, I took the last week off from climbing, social media and training; during my week hiatus, I was down in Cuba ?? after booking a spontaneous last minute flight a mere 6 days prior!

It was my first time on the tropical island and I had SOOO MUCH FUN! ☀️ It was calming being cut-off from the world with no commitments, an endless white sand beach and most importantly no internet ?

Don’t get me wrong, I love posting to social media and giving you all a genuine view from my perspective; at the same time, being away from it all felt very revitalizing and a subtle reminder to put down my phone, and enjoy it all right there and then ?

I’m back in Vancouver now and training for the next season re-starts NOW! If you told me 10 years ago I’d be training for the Olympics with a pretty good shot, I wouldn’t believe you, but here we are!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
