Today, I voted.
Why?
Because so many reasons.
I walked into the booth on my own.
But I went in with my ancestors.
Especially all of the women who came before me.
There’s an energy that ran in my family & it was the violation of boundaries. A deafening of the feminine voice.
One of my great-great grandmothers was sold by her father to a man in exchange for a horse.
She had no choice.
She probably fought her whole existence doing what she needed to do to overcome this trauma, this mistrust of her paternal unit, the hurt, the denial of choice.
What energetic charge did this set forth in my lineage?
Today, I voted for Sarah Jane Griffin.
She was with me as I made choices on political policy.
What if she loved herself so much that she forgave him for not seeing her immense value and wisdom?
What if she loved herself so much she released her past with him? And for her own freedom & life, loved unconditionally.
She is with me. She is me.
Every woman who has gone before me and every woman after me will know she is sovereign unto herself.
Wise.
Grounded.
Divine.
Loved.

My great-great-great grandmother, Mariah....her Blackfoot heritage is with me. I voted. She voted.

I voted today.
Why?
Because at one point a woman couldn’t open a bank account without a man.
If she wasn’t married, her father had to sign for her...give her permission.
Today, I voted because every time I walk into a bank, transfer money, choose which stocks I invest in....purchase property....it’s all my choice. It’s all my choice.

All of the women in my lineage voted.
We are in charge of our choices.
We are in charge of our bodies.
We are in charge of our being.

I am sovereign unto myself.
Today, I voted because my greatest grandmothers are high priestesses, earth healers, evangelists, psychologists, witches, conjurers of the spirit realm, intercessory warrior Goddesses, and builders of the divine matriarchy.

Today, I voted with their majesty flowing through me.
I am them.
They are me.
We Reign Supreme.
