Today we introduce Olya Oleinic @olya_o who is one of the artists on display selected by an internationally acclaimed jury ✨Here a sneak peek at Olya’s work on display ? ‘Outside of capitals and cultural epicentres, in their majority people live by a combination of rules made of old traditions, standards of safety and ideas of social norms from past decades. In my personal practice, one of the main driving forces is the need to explore the cultural and educational traits which shape us throughout daily life and to shed light on various definitions of individual truth. The exposure to certain ideas creates an understanding of the norm within the context of our immediate environment. But what do these ideas stand for once we change the context? Forward movement and embracing the differences begin with self-education. My ambition is to start conversations, make people look and question things, put under consideration ideas of norms that frame our views and often create judgements. Embracing diversity for me stands for feeling into the other person’s truth and reality. It is being aware or curious and together with that, sensitive to one’s past and present; it is the willingness to see the differences as strengths.’ #OlyaOleinic
