That’s what happened to 68-year-old Jimmie Smith of East Orange, New Jersey. Nearly a year after the lotto drawing, news reports came out that nobody had come forward to claim the prize. That’s when Smith decided to check his shirt pocket, where he accumulated old tickets, and realized that he had the winning numbers.
