Orion and Gemini reflect on the calm water of this reservoir in Colorado Plateau of US Southwest, traditionally home to Native American culture of Ancestral Puebloans.
Located in the Bears Ears National Monument of Utah it is a land of a recent conflict. This large area of natural wonders and cultural heritage became federally protected under National Monument in the last month of Obama administration in Dec 2016, despite the congress disagreement. A year later Trump administration, by executive order, reduced the area to 16% of the original size. Will the area become open to mining is unclear and a matter of the state decision.
