Korinji Temple’s Yakushido Hall, one of Nagano Prefecture’s Treasures
Asahi Village

Within the thatched-roof hall can be found the seated figure of the Yakushi Nyorai ( Bhaisajyaguru or “Medicine Buddha”).

The temple grounds, always ringing with the sounds of gongs, change with the seasons. Spring brings weeping cherry blossoms, and autumn beautiful red and yellow leaves.
