Here’s another throwback to the exhibition install with artists Duan Jianyu and Wong Ping (@nowhynowhy), who are fans for each other’s practices. I first discovered Wong Ping’s work in 2016 when I saw his solo booth at Edouard Malingue Gallery at Art Basel Miami Beach. I was lured in by a sensual pink furry carpet that covered the floor, then stayed and watched his entire video work, “Jungle of Desire” (2015). I immediately told myself that I must meet this artist! I ended up meeting Wong Ping in Hong Kong the next spring, and he later created “Dear, can I give you a hand?” for “One Hand Clapping.” Swipe left to see the many stages of the wind up teeth toys and how they became a part of the final installation. #GuggenheimTakeover
