This morning, The Prince of Wales visited the @moorlandspiritco distillery in Hepple on the edge of the National Park. The Prince was shown the wild green juniper, which are one of the core ingredients of Hepple Gin, and planted a small juniper tree in the moors surrounding the distillery.
The distillery runs a rejuvenation programme which plants out at least 200 juniper seedlings each year, all grown from the estates own seed.
The programme was created in association with Northumberland National Park, @newcastleuni and Hepple Whitefield Farm. #RoyalVisitNorthumberland
