The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall meet those preparing to sail the ‘Maiden’ yacht on a 3-year round the world voyage to support the work of @maidenfactor & its 6 partner charities which are promoting girls’ education.
In 1990 Maiden made history when it became the first all-female crewed yacht to sail around the world. That original voyage was sponsored by HM King Hussein and the yacht’s refurbishment has been supported by HRH Princess Haya, who was also at today’s event.
