NO WORDS to describe the feeling of hearing your words read by such beautiful actors. 20 years ago I started writing a screenplay. Through the years I picked it up and put it back down for many reasons. One was I had accepted the position and “my place” I had been put in in the business of show. I let others dictate who and what they bought I was and my ability. I was more than what I kept being served but my voice kept being silenced in so many ways. After years of accepting this as “lust the way it is” I said NO MORE. I sat down and finished my script. I have NOTHING against men, however it was a few words and help from other women that made me move this forward @carissa_______ never stopped saying FINISH IT helping me find, Ana, who kept me accountable and endlessly talked to me about story. Some 20 years ago a fellow acting student and friend #callieThorne who read a few scenes I had written of this screenplay and say I LOVE IT keep going, and #annabellasciora who wonderfully magically read the lead for me on this magical evening- THIS is #WomenHelpingWomen THIS is #sisterhood. THIS is YOUR LIFE! Do NOT get caught up in the “should bes” #FUCKTHAT #JUSTDOIT. I WILL make my movie and it will be fantastic, simply because I tried!!!
