post show at @siesmarjan this afternoon ? @z_al /// There was a period in my life where I stuck to black and white in wardrobe — a uniform I didn’t have to think too much about. Sander’s work at @siesmarjan opened me to a world of color, especially discordant color, that I had never considered. Sander has become a friend and this week he invited me into his atelier where he designs. I loved seeing into his creative process — the black foam boards in every room filled with obscure color references and fresh juxtapositions, the bold women he surrounds himself with who all wear his pieces very differently, the library of artist work for inspiration (Morandi among them!), the entire wall devoted to buttons. It was moving to witness the whirlwind his creativity stirs.
