#WorkOfTheWeek: Malcolm Drummond was inspired by the use of colour by post-impressionist artists Vincent #VanGogh and Henri #Matisse. You can see here how he uses patches of bright pigment to suggest shadow on the sitter's face, and the orange band around the broad-brimmed hat to echo the colours of the ‘palmettes’ in the background.
