Here is Hisatsumi, the founder/CEO of PATRON.

The cryptocurrency PATRON (PAT) has been currently under the development with the aim to do the mainnet launch around about between the end of September and the middle of October 2018. Once the mainnet launch is realized, the token (PAT) on the previous networks will not be usable. For this reason, all the PAT holders will be informed of the mainnet first and then guided to swap the tokens prior to the launch. Release is November.

Once the mainnet of the sharing economy PATRON is officially announced, present holders will be informed of the “host wallet” as well as the “guest wallet”. Please hold on to your PAT until these proceeds.

The above process will enable PAT and other tokens (cryptocurrencies) to be used on the mainnet.

Prior to this mainnet launch, PATRON will do “buy back” and “coin-burn” the many of circulating PAT, in commemoration of the mainnet launch.

The reason for this burn is debatable; however, there is an intended purpose. The declined number of tokens, by being burnt, results in lifting the scarcity value of that token and improve the financial flow. Burning here means the “loss of the cryptocurrency” that is owned by the operator. In other words, it indicates that “the volume of the un-circulated cryptocurrencies is declined.” Of course, it is speculated that the declined volume of the cryptocurrencies, and this may apply to any of other cryptocurrencies, may make potential impact, such as the escalation of the price.

Nevertheless, the important point then becomes whether “the cryptocurrency in itself is worthwhile”.

When the above is applied to PATRON, what the sharing economy PATRON and all the influencers who participate PATRON want to know the most is “how valuable PATRON is for them”.
