She and her team have interviewed 6,000 veterans to identify 70 for a phase 2 trial, triple blind study that tests the safety and efficacy of cannabis flower as medication. The team has employed “guerrilla tactics” to find the veteran volunteers—leaving flyers in bars and strip clubs and developing relationships with local Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Posts.
