The Isle of Skye is the largest of the Inner Hebrides, an island chain that runs up the west coast of northern Scotland. Across the water from the boat lies the island of Ornsay and behind in the far distance the Knoydart peninsular. Knoydart is often referred to as Britain’s last wilderness due to its remoteness - only accessible by boat or a 16-mile hike.
