Kanda is full of secondhand bookstores, and its history extends over 130 years. Bookstores began opening up in anticipation of students as schools were being founded one after another in the area in the late 19th to early 20th century.

世界でも珍しいほど古書店が密集している、神田古書店街。
明治以降、この地域には相次いで学校が創立され、その学生の需要から、古書店を含めた書店が次々にできていったのがその始まりだといわれています。?
