Yumi Nishimura primarily focuses on textile-based creative expression in her artwork. Recently, she was working at "START Box SasaHataHatsu", a creative activity space in a vacant storefront of a metropolitan housing complex in the Sasazuka and Hatagaya area of Shibuya Ward. This time, Nishimura delved into the essence of the material itself, embracing the individual qualities and warmth of hand-woven textiles, and exploring the concept of "repetition and accumulation." Yumi Nishimura _yumi_nishimura Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1984, Nishimura graduated from Tama Art University’s Department of Information Design.
