'The city of Xi’an is a fascinating mix of history and cultures that blends old and new together as one. Once the eastern end of the Silk Road trading route, you can find Islamic food and culture thriving here amongst streets of snacks and wooden mosques. The bell tower pictured is found in most old cities, where the bells would be rung to announce the start of the day.
