On any given day there are a number of good things and a number of bag things that happen. It’s your choice what to focus on and also what to make of them. Sometimes those things are quite huge and sometimes they are rather small. But either way it’s up to you whether you let it all make your stronger or whether you let it break you. And what is strength but learning how to fail with grace. When you toil away at something and diligently put in the work only to see someone else work half as hard for half the time with less experience and get what you have been dreaming of for so many years it can turn your heart bitter. Or, you can choose joy. Yes joy. Even amidst difficulty and loss, even amidst heartache and sadness, even amidst rejection and alienation. Joy. It’s there under everything and it’s your natural birthright. Nothing and no one can take that away from you unless you let them. Don’t let the world beat you down. Rise up stronger each time you stumble and fall and never give up.
