Photograph by @tasneemalsultan I traveled to Capetown to photograph poachers diving in ice water in torn wet suits, while others keep guard. After five hours, they sold their fish. Each man made $20. I expected the assignment to involve only “danger” and “poverty,” but what I saw was families who worked hard for their children. They invited me into their homes and shared their lives openly, with so many common worries and affection towards their loved ones.
