#SeattleArtFair: Taryn Simon’s celestial photograph, “NGC 281,” features in "Out of This World: Artists Explore Space" at the Seattle Art Fair. The work will be on view in our booth through August, 5.

“NGC 281” is an image of a star-forming nebula some 9,500 light-years from earth and was taken through a telescope at the Kitt Peak National Observatory, Arizona. The photograph is often referred to as the Pacman Nebula because of its uncanny resemblance to the 1980s video game character Pac-Man.
