In this world of image and crafted perfection you will always feel inadequate until you realize this truth—you are made or spirit and this body and this material existence is just one stop on your journey. There is only one story in that is really true, and it’s not the one where you’re down on yourself. The only story that’s really true is the one you tell about love. It’s not just another platitude, love is real and deep and healing. Love literally loves all your wounds and scars and broken-hearted ness. Love picks you up when your spirit is nearly crushed and rebuilds you even stronger.

The incredible losses I’ve faced this year have left me with no choice but to grow and retell my story. Through tears and heartache, through loss and devastation, through hopelessness and despair, it’s the story of love that lifted me up. All I really want in 2018 is to let more love into my life until it washes over my like a raging torrent, carries me away like a dream and knocks me totally off me feet in humility and reverence for its awesome power.

Love is the miracle that bears it out until the end of time, is always the same yesterday, today and forever, love is the only true light that will never let you down. Love is the most powerful force in the universe, the only thing that when you press into it and test it, it only gets stronger. Love is never shaken, or broken. Love is eternal and unconditional, and love is who we all really truly are. Hallelujah.
