This April our 7HA gas turbine, pictured here, helped win the title of the world’s most efficient combined-cycle power plant at Chubu Electric Power’s Nishi-Nagoya plant Block 1 in Japan. It converted 63.08% of its fuel energy into electricity. But before the HA turbine could break records in efficiency, it had to undergo a series of grueling tests.
