He was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was fifteen and relapsed twice after that. At age 21 he got a bone marrow transplant from his mother. Because of his mom’s many jobs he has been able to afford health insurance. He is an activist for Healthcare for everyone among other causes. He attends Cal State LA and majors in Political Science.
