The summer after high school graduation, @thegr8khalid tossed his clothes into a plastic tub and drove out to L.A. to finish recording what would become his debut album, American Teen, released in March 2017. Perhaps unsurprising for someone with such a peripatetic childhood, he’s been on tour pretty much constantly since.
