For two nights in a row I’ve been privileged to be in the presence of great and consequential women. Tonight it was to watch a work on film that I’d seen onstage a couple of years ago, that both times, in different ways, moved and challenged me. The extraordinary power of experienced and exacting women with vision is impossible to describe. Women who use their true voices to advocate for others and make change through policy and public service are bolstered and protected by these other kinds of women who MAKE ART to do that very same thing. I am in awe of the rigorous, intentional, muscular work of these women. All of them. But the ones who make art will save us all. And @hollandvtaylor is a heroine unto herself. A person perfectly matched with her subject. Both of them creators, builders, and fierce Mama Bears. Tonight, the premiere of #Ann by the incredible @hollandvtaylor, w @cecilerichards and director @bendsley at @lincolncenter.
