More has to be done to #keepfamiliestogether. Regardless of your political leanings, your humanity should never be cast aside. You can’t turn away from the audio released by @propublica of children crying out in complete anguish for their parents, whom they don’t know when or if they will see again. Imagine that for a moment. These are babies, toddlers, and kids. Just like our own. Yesterday Trump did reverse his own policy of separating children from their parents, but this does not address or do anything for thousands of kids that are already being held in detention centers, in chain link cages, some housing more than 20 children at a time, with foil blankets as their only comfort as all their possessions have been confiscated from them. They have nothing, are scared, and don’t know when or if they will see their parents again. We cannot do nothing, and we have to speak up for these kids and families.
