Today, on #WorldRefugeeDay, and every day of my life, I am honored to do my part to raise the voice of refugees around the world. I am thinking of the brave Alassy Syrian family now safe in Germany, of Farhad Nouri, the Afghan young artist I met in Serbia, and Lillian, a refugee and champion for other women in Uganda, as well as many more. As the world marks this day, children are being taken from their parents at the U.S. border. Meanwhile, refugee arrivals in the U.S. are at an all-time low.
